Yoga Instruction ... Private or Group Sessions

I've been a health and wellness educator ever since my own health crisis in 1991, when I dove into the vast pool of natural healing methods and began teaching others what I had learned.

I've found in yoga what I've been seeking for many, many years: a way of being in the world that honors, unites and balances the body, mind and spirit. My specialty is teaching my students, no matter at what level of ability, how to embrace, understand and be compassionate with their own unique bodies, and consciously manifest their divine nature in every moment. And how to get healthy, strong and flexible, of course!

I am a YogaWorks-certified yoga instructor at the 500-hour level and am registered with the Yoga Alliance. The Yoga Works method is a Hatha Yoga style that is steeped in Iyengar alignment, Ashtanga breath and vigor, and Tantric philosophy (i.e., we are whole beings discovering spirit through our physical experience). It is renowned for its intelligent sequencing, allowing the body to safely warm up before moving into more difficult poses.

I continue to study with a long list of fabulous teachers at YogaWorks (all to be very famous very soon!) and have also had the great privilege of studying with the groundbreaking Alan Finger, Rodney and Colleen Saidman Yee, Gary Kraftsow and Mark Whitwell. I'm overjoyed to have been chosen to be part of a pilot program funded by Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Initiative, led by Rodney and Colleen Saidman Yee, which is training a small group of yoga teachers to offer yoga as a therapeutic modality for patients, family and staff at the Beth Israel Cancer Center in NYC.

I look forward to sharing with you what I've learned!
